Training programs for teachers
- Preventing Academic Failure (PAF)
- An Orton-Gillingham-based program to ensure reading and writing success for dyslexic learners. Teacher training is available.
- The Writing Revolution
- A structured expository writing program that can be used from grade 1 through 12. It includes sentence expansion, paragraph writing, multiple paragraph essays, research papers. This program integrates with all subject matter. Teacher training is available.
- University of Kansas Strategies Instruction Model (SIM)
- The Strategies Instruction Model has developed over the years to include many strategies such as memory, editing, note taking strategies, to help at-risk learners. These strategies are appropriate for upper elementary through college. The UK has also developed teacher training for unit construction to accommodate a large variety of learners, appropriate for college instructors. Training is available.
- Wilson Language Training that includes Foundations and Just Words. Teacher training is available,
- Slingerland Method is an adaptation of the original Orton-Gillingham approach to teach literacy skills to dyslexics. Screening tests are available for grades 1-6. Compatible teaching materials and programs are available.
